traversflöte und jazzflöte – improvisationskurseDie Flöte ist das Instrument, das in den meisten Musikrichtungen seinen Platz hat. Von Rennaissance bis zu Barock, von der Wiener Klassik bis zur Romantik, Impressionismus, Swing, Bossa Nova, Funky, und so weiter... Ihr Klang passt zu verschiedenen Musikgenres. Trotzdem wird in den Musikschulen vorwiegend gelehrt, was nicht viel Raum für Improvisation lässt. In meinem Unterricht steht Improvisationskunst oder improvisierte Vortragsweise im Vordergrund. Musik, eine der ältesten menschlichen Sprachen, sollte nicht aus Noten, sondern nach Gehör und im Ausprobieren erlernt werden.
Meine Improvisationskurse sind in erster Linie für diejenige Flötenspieler gedacht, die mehr lernen möchten als es im Rahmen von Schulkursen möglich ist. Ich empfehle diese Kurse denen, die wissen möchten, wie Improvisation im Barock geklungen hat, wie man minutenlang über einen Jazz-Standard improvisiert, oder wie man sich frei und natürlich in den verschiedenen Musikrichtungen bewegen kann.
Ich unterrichte Flöte seit zweiundzwanzig Jahren. Jazz zu spielen ist vielleicht eine vielschichtigere Aufgabe als nur einfach eine Melodie stilvoll wiederzugeben. Es lohnt sich auf höheren Ebenen, sich mit beiden Stilen zu beschäftigen, da ja beide sehr interessant sind und viel Spaß machen. Deshalb können sowohl diejenigen an meinem Jazzunterricht teilnehmen, die noch nie so etwas gespielt haben, als auch die, die sich mit den Geheimnissen der Improvisation vertraut machen möchten.
Barockmusik ist dem Jazz in vielerlei Hinsicht sehr ähnlich. Das wichtigste Merkmal ist ja Improvisation. Weil ich seit 27 Jahren auch Alte Musik (Barockflöte) spiele und in verschiedenen Produktionen alte Musik spiele, habe ich vor ein paar Jahren angefangen auch Barockflöte (Traverso) zu unterrichten. Manche meiner Schüler arbeiten inzwischen als Professionelle in der Alten Musik. Meine Alte-Musik-Kurse sind geeignet für Flötisten, die auf modernen oder auf alten Instrumenten spielen, sowie für diejenigen, die noch nie auf einem Barockinstrument gespielt haben, aber es ausprobieren möchten. baroque and jazz improvisation coursesPerhaps the flute is the single most stylistically diverse instrument of them all. The flute can be heard throughout renaissance, baroque, Viennese classic, romantic, impressionist, swing, bossa nova, funky, and many more musical styles. Still, music schools have a tendency to emphasize styles in which the freedom of improvisation is uncommon. A particular characteristic of my personal teaching style lies in my emphasis on introducing or perfecting the improvisational skills of my students, above all else. Music, like the most ancient language of mankind, is more readily acquired through concentrating on sound and practice, as opposed to relying wholly on sheet music.My improvisation courses are primarily targeted at flautists who would like to increase their existing knowledge from musical academies. I warmly recommend this course to those who are interested in how improvisation was conducted during the time of baroque music, or those who would like to learn how a single standard sheet of Jazz music can be played for several minutes, as well as those who would like to play their instruments freely and without restrictions to enjoy the natural language of playfulness in any musical style. I have been teaching jazz flute for nearly 22 years. Learning improvisation in jazz is perhaps slightly more complex than simply playing a few melodies in the style. However, since both are very interesting and particularly enjoyable tasks, they are worth studying at various levels of difficulty. Those who have never played such music as well as those who would like to deepen their grasp on the mysteries of improvisation are both welcome to my jazz courses alike. 
Various facets of Baroque music are similar to jazz. Their most important shared characteristic happens to be improvisation. Because I have been playing the flute in the style of Baroque for twentyseven years, and have played classical music in a number of various productions, I have begun giving baroque flute lessons in the past few years.
